The Program Director will manage and oversee the daily operations of the after-school program. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating activities, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Develop and implement program objectives and strategies. Ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Staff Supervision: Support the hiring, training, and evaluation of staff. Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance.
- Activity Coordination: Plan and schedule a variety of recreational and educational activities. Ensure activities are engaging and appropriate for students.
- Safety and Environment: Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols.
- Communication: Coordinate with school administrators, teachers, and parents. Communicate program updates, student progress, and any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field.
- Experience: At least 5 plus years of experience working with youth in a classroom, after-school, or recreational environment with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to lead and supervise both small and large groups. Strong problem-solving skills and patience.
- **Previously holding a SACC license is preferred.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
