SUMMARY: These positions are assigned to the Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) of the Idaho Army National Guard (IDARNG), functioning within the Idaho Military Division (IMD). The primary purpose of these positions is to perform technical work and project management functions in the design, plans development, inspection, data collection, analysis, data input, and materials testing for complex constructions, maintenance, and repair projects for state, federal, and military facilities. This position serves as the Construction Control Inspector for federally funded Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (SRM) construction projects.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (attach as a supporting document in Luma):
(1) Must be a member of the Idaho National Guard. Provide your military grade, job title, MOS/AFSC/AOC and unit of assignment. (May be waived upon appointment.)
(2) Must have and maintain a valid and fully privileged state issued driver’s license (from any state). Provide your driver’s license number, issuing state, license expiration date, and the full name specified on the license. ( Do not provide a copy of your driver’s license.)
(3) Must have, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a favorable NACI/T1 Federal Background Investigation. If a selected candidate does not have a current favorable NACI/T1, as a condition of employment he/she must submit to the investigation process immediately upon hire/appointment. (At a minimum, a favorable suitability determination by the State Security Manager or OPM is required prior to appointment into this position.)
(4) Travel is required for training and job performance. Must be willing to travel by all modes of transportation and stay at destinations for short periods.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (attach as a supporting document in Luma) :
Must have 24 months’ experience performing work related to the knowledge requirements below. Submit a paragraph for each knowledge requirement below that demonstrates the required experience and describes competence in applying the knowledge. Education and training may be used to offset experience.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
((1) Describe your knowledge of general architectural, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering concepts, principles and practices sufficient to make informed decisions concerning design and construction, or review of Architectural & Engineering submittals for various renovation and construction projects.
(2) Describe your knowledge plans, blueprints, drawings, bid schedules, and cost estimates (materials, equipment, labor), sufficient to independently read, interpret, comprehend or prepare products and to make modifications or adaptations.
(3) Describe your knowledge of construction management principles and guidelines, including scheduling phases, defining projects, establishing goals, quality control, inspecting work, program analysis, and information presentation methods sufficient to render technical assistance in the overall planning of construction and renovation projects.
(4) Describe your knowledge of applicable national, state, local, National Guard Bureau, and Department of the Army regulations relating to design, construction, and contracting.
(5) Describe your knowledge in the use of computers with common operating software, project management software, construction-related software, and record keeping software; include a description of the types of programs with which you are familiar, i.e. AutoCAD, PRIDE, iEMS, etc.).
(6) Describe your knowledge of communication techniques and your ability to communicate effectively; present information clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding and demonstrate strong influencing skills; and your ability to comfortably interact with a wide variety of individuals.
