Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and ensuring dining areas remain tidy.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers and other cleaning machinery.
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy items such as bulk supplies or large pots to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas by adhering to sanitation protocols and health regulations.
- Support the team during catering or banquet events by assisting with dishware setup and cleanup processes.
Experience
- Previous food service experience is preferred, especially within restaurant or hospitality environments.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
- Experience with kitchen equipment operation, including commercial dishwashers and basic culinary tools.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and basic knife skills are advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy kitchen setting.
- Prior experience in catering, hotel kitchens, or banquet services will be considered a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
