REI has been a leading provider of water and wastewater field services since 1985 — and we're growing our Meter Services team out of our Atlanta office. We install and upgrade water meters and AMI/AMR systems for utilities across metro Atlanta, and we're hiring reliable, mechanically-minded installers to get the work done right.
What you'll do
- Install, replace, and test water meters at homes and businesses
- Change out and program meter registers/endpoints for AMI/AMR upgrades
- Reset meter boxes, replace rings and lids, and clean up each site
- Log every install accurately on a handheld device
- Work safely — PPE, traffic control, and safe digging every time
What you need
- HS diploma/GED and a valid Georgia driver's license
- Mechanical aptitude and basic plumbing know-how
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and hit daily targets
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Nice to have
- Meter install, plumbing, or utility field experience
- AMI/AMR deployment experience (Itron, Sensus, Neptune, Badger)
- DOT card and/or CDL, OSHA 10
