PART-TIME RECREATION MAINTENANCE CUSTODIAN
MONDAY - FRIDAY SCHEDULE; SOME WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED
LOCATION-PAUL ANGELLE PARK - CECILIA, LA
PURPOSE AND WORK
This position involves routine manual work, including activities such as cutting grass, picking up litter, cutting trees, trimming shrubs, cleaning and edging streets and sidewalks. Work also includes performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (NOTE: These examples are intended only to illustrate the various types of work performed. All duties performed may not be listed.)
Ø Recreation Maintenance Custodian works under the direction of the Building Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the following:
· Emptying all trash containers and disposing of trash
· Cleaning bathrooms to including floors, fixtures, trash cans and mirrors
· Sweeping porches and sidewalks
· Moving furniture and equipment as needed
· Replacing light bulbs
· Cutting grass, trimming shrubs and weeds, maintaining flowerbeds, removing debris and performing similar tasks around buildings and parking lots
COMPENTENCIES REQUIRED
o Proficient in the safe use and routine maintenance of custodial and landscaping equipment
o Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment
o Adaptability and problem-solving skills to handle a variety of maintenance tasks
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives administrative direction from the Building Maintenance Supervisor and performs the duty assignments within broad parameters defined by organizational requirements and accepted practices.
Pay: $14.70 per hour
