Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform various maintenance functions for residential properties located in New Orleans and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
General maintenance of currently occupied apartments and houses , involving basic troubleshooting, appliance repair, electrical work and plumbing experience.
Diagnose and repair problems in such areas as , electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, equipment and waste management systems.
May perform painting projects ranging from full interior painting of property units to minor touch up and repair of walls and woodwork.
Work directly with residents and team members to diagnose, assess and repair issues.
Completes the make-ready process by creating a “punch' list of maintenance work needed, obtaining needed supplies and materials, and completing all maintenance tasks.
Completes and returns assigned work orders in a timely manner.
Communicates all necessary maintenance related issues to the Maintenance Manager on a daily basis.
Requirements:
· 1-3 years of maintenance, construction, or related experience
· Lift up to 75 lbs., bending, stretching
· Team player mentality
· Effective problem-solving abilities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
· Must have own tools
· Must have a valid drivers license
· Must have reliable transportation and be able to transport bulky items
