Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our cutting-edge engineering team. Duties
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures or system inefficiencies to identify underlying issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Create and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation aligned with ASME codes & standards.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to evaluate mechanical performance under different conditions, optimizing designs accordingly.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to facilitate prototype development, CNC machining, and assembly processes while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize system design tools like MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and Arduino for control system integration and automation tasks.
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure manufacturing accuracy and consistency across components.
- Support project scheduling by tracking milestones, coordinating tasks across teams, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering solutions in compliance with industry standards such as ASME.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering roles with a strong foundation in mechanical design, drafting, and CAD modeling using SolidWorks or Creo.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), LabVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink, and Arduino for system control and automation projects.
- Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, FEA analysis, and prototype testing.
- Experience working with schematics, technical drawings, and system schematics for complex mechanical assemblies.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles as applied to quantum engineering or advanced technological systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels, piping, and mechanical components.
