We’re currently seeking a LCSW to join our amazing team. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to get into street medicine on an interdisciplinary team setting and make a difference with people experiencing homelessness.
Details of the Opening:
- Anticipated start date: ASAP
- Anticipated schedule: Full Time / Monday-Friday
- Salary: $38.50-$55 hourly
Core Responsibilities:
- Improve the mental health of unhoused patient population in order to improve their ability to obtain housing through the provision of mental health assessment and treatment
- Expand the knowledgebase of the patients in the community regarding mental health matters and provide informational, educational and supportive services to enhance mental health and decrease stigma
- Provide short-term mental health treatment to selected clients including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, interventions (individual, group, couples, and/or family), collateral contacts, and discharge/aftercare planning
- Provide group sessions on life skills
- Provide 1:1 sessions (substance use and mental health)
- Educate patients regarding mental health issues by delivering informational materials and facilitating educational and supportive groups to this population in community settings
- Engage in crisis management
- Provide preventative services to clients as needed
- Maintain confidential information by following all HIPAA regulations, policy and procedures, compliance and regulatory directives and by completing required documentation in a timely, professional and accurate manner
Job Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a related mental health discipline
- 2 years minimum working as a therapist/social worker in a mental health or clinical environment – strong preference working with underserved populations, and SUD
- Demonstrated experience in mental health assessments, treatment planning, care management, and clinical interventions
- Familiar with evidence-based intervention models; excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, critical thinking and problem resolution skills; demonstrated customer focus; proactively finds ways to exceed customer needs; ability to multitask and work with limited supervision and ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality
