Responsibilities
- Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services tailored to each client’s preferences and needs
- Perform precise barbering services including straight razor shaves and traditional haircutting techniques
- Deliver specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to enhance client beauty routines
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by adhering to all health regulations and ensuring tools are properly sterilized
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
- Engage with clients through clear communication, understanding their desires, and offering personalized recommendations
- Upsell retail products related to hair care, skincare, and beauty accessories to boost sales and client satisfaction
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in cosmetology, color theory, and current beauty trends
Skills
- Proficiency with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for efficient store management
- Extensive knowledge of hair care techniques including coloring, styling, threading, and extensions
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe salon environment
- Skilled in barbering techniques with experience working with straight razors and traditional grooming tools
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive client relationships and provide clear consultations
- Ability to perform diverse beauty services including makeup application and nail care with precision
- Experience working in the beauty industry with a solid grasp of retail math and upselling strategies
- Knowledge of cosmetology principles such as color theory and hair coloring techniques
