Job Description:
Johnston Trucking Inc. a proud contractor for FedEx Ground, is seeking experienced and safety-focused Class A CDL Drivers to join our
Linehaul team in
Nashville, TN. This position offers home-daily routes, competitive mileage pay, excellent benefits beginning on Day One, and the opportunity to operate well-maintained equipment.
Class A CDL Linehaul Driver - Home Daily
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and transportation records
- Report equipment issues, accidents, or incidents promptly
- Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Complete all assigned safety training courses
- Assist with trailer movement as required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL License
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the last 3 years or 5 years’ experience in the last 10 years.
- Doubles & Triples Endorsement (experience not required)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (dolly assistance available)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening (paid by employer)
Pay & Benefits
- $0.60 per mile (Tuesday - Saturday)
- $0.63 per mile on a 6th day

Schedule
- 10-hour shifts
- Start times between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM
- Deliveries completed daily with home-daily routes
- Opportunity for additional earnings by running a 6th day (Sunday or Monday)

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday with availability to work Sunday or Monday as a 6th day..

Job Requirements:
- Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- 1 year of verifiable Tractor-Trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 5 years in the last 10
- Clean Driving Record
- Current Medical DOT Card
- Doubles & Triples Endorsement (no prior experience required)
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must pass a Drug Screen and DOT Physical (paid by employer)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (use of dolly for trailers)
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
Wage Range: 0.60 - 0.63 per mile
General Description of Benefits: Pay: $0.60/mile (Tues–Sat) | $0.63/mile (6th day)
Average Weekly Pay: $1,200 – $1,400
