Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and dump trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, route driving, and load & unload operations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries across designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Transport goods via flatbed, tanker, or other specialized trucks to various destinations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Follow route schedules efficiently while managing time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Assist with securing cargo and ensuring proper load distribution for safety during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the road.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred.
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles is required.
- Prior experience in freight delivery and route driving is highly desirable.
- Ability to load & unload freight safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts if necessary.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently on the road.
