Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues across a variety of systems including air conditioning, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and appliance repair.
- Read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs effectively.
- Conduct service technician tasks such as replacing worn parts, calibrating equipment, and ensuring optimal system performance.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects related to facility upgrades or new installations.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
Skills
- Proven service technician experience with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently and accurately.
- Leadership skills with experience guiding or mentoring junior team members or contractors.
- Construction knowledge beneficial for facility upgrades or installation projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
