American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a NC or Compact RN license in hand.

Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a hospital setting
-
Care for critically ill pediatric patients including congenital heart disease, post cardiac surgery, and ECMO cases
-
Patient ratio of 1:2

Epic charting system experience preferred
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Required to work every other weekend
-
Floating required
-
Orientation occurs bi-weekly
-
Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand

Current certifications: BLS and PALS
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience required

Charge nurse experience preferred
-
Experience with teaching hospitals, community hospitals, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
-
Skills in ventilator management, CRRT, ECMO, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia management preferred
-
1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients, including monitoring, medication administration, and management of complex cardiac and respiratory conditions

Skills such as chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and central line care are part of daily responsibilities

Flu vaccine required between 10/31-3/31 with no exemptions

Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced pay rate

Previously permanent employees of the health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months

RTO must be limited to 5-7 days maximum

Travelers may have up to three absences per 13-week contract
