As we continue to expand our product portfolio and customer deployments, we are seeking a motivated, hands-on Shop Floor Operations Manager to join our team in Madera, California.
About the Role
This role will be responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production execution, inventory management, material flow, staffing coordination, safety compliance, and facility readiness. The ideal candidate is a strong shop-floor leader who enjoys building processes, developing teams, solving operational challenges, and creating scalable manufacturing systems in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
● Lead daily manufacturing and assembly operations.
● Manage production schedules and labor allocation.
● Own inventory, receiving, parts storage, and material availability.
● Maintain a safe and organized shop, including OSHA compliance and safety training.
● Develop and improve work instructions and operating procedures.
● Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues.
● Track key metrics including throughput, inventory accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery.
● Maintain facility readiness for customer visits, audits, and future growth.
● Coach and develop technicians and shop personnel.
● Help build scalable processes and systems as production volumes increase.
Qualifications
● 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or plant operations.
● Proven experience leading teams in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
● Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and shop-floor safety practices.
● Experience with inventory management and material planning.
● Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
● Experience in automotive, EV, heavy equipment, or electro mechanical assembly is preferred.
● Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S is a plus.
Compensation
● Base Salary: $90,000–$120,000
● Exceptional candidates: up to $130,000
