Job Title: Cook & Kitchen Lead
Location: Chabad UF Jewish Student Center.

The Chabad UF Jewish Student Center provides a warm, welcoming space for students and community to gather, learn, connect and enjoy Holiday and Sabbath meals together.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and organized Cook. The Cook will also be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and consistency, and ensuring adherence to all standards. The menu has already been developed, and is consistent and ongoing.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily kitchen operations.
Manage and supervise the kitchen help.
Ensure consistent execution of a pre-established menu
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness
Collaborate with management to oversee inventory and ordering.
Ensure strict compliance with guidelines (training will be provided) and food safety regulations.
Schedule kitchen help and manage labor resources efficiently.
Address any operational or staffing issues in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
Experience as a cook and kitchen manager.
Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
Friendly and good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
Hours: Primarily 10:00AM – 4:00 PM (with some flexibility for prep and management duties). Extended hours available during busy seasons.
