Duties
- Stock shelves accurately using inventory management systems and RF scanners to ensure product availability and proper placement
- Maintain clean, tidy aisles by regularly removing debris, organizing displays, and performing aisle cleanup duties
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring safe handling of heavy items
- Assist with inventory control by conducting stock counts, monitoring product expiration dates, and reporting discrepancies
- Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing products for delivery or storage and verifying shipment accuracy
- Engage in merchandising activities to create attractive displays that promote sales and enhance the shopping experience
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product locations and assisting with special requests
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners
- Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, packaging, shipping & receiving, and merchandising
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently handle physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with retail math for inventory management and stock replenishment calculations
- Proven ability to maintain cleanliness standards while multitasking in a retail setting
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills to keep aisles safe and appealing
