Position Overview
Leads a production line and can perform all duties of production department, in a reliable and conscientious manner following standard operating procedures.
Essential Job Duties
Ensures all operators within their assigned department are in the proper position throughout the shift.
Escalates personnel issues such as safety, quality, attendance or conduct, to their shift supervisor in a timely manner.
Provides on the job training to operators within their assigned department.
Consistently meets or exceeds in the performance of daily production functions under no direct supervision.
Cross trained to perform all essential job functions in all areas of assigned department.
Displays aptitude and ability to cover for Production Supervisor
Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot and correct any equipment or components causing production delays
Consistently follows GMP standards, SOPs and safety standards
Able to efficiently setup and operate all equipment within assigned department
Meets or exceeds daily goals set by supervision with assigned department.
Performs accurate weights, measures and quality checks.
Accurately completes all paperwork, neatly and correctly.
Cleans and maintains assigned work area and equipment
Exceptional attendance & punctuality
Displays positive attitude; teamwork
Able to follow directions and attention to detail
Basic math and computer skills needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 to 75 lbs.
Requirements
High School Diploma, College coursework preferred
1 year of Production line / industrial manufacturing experience required
Supervisor experience preferred
Basic math and computer skills.
Competencies
Consistent application of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability to accurately troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Leadership ability to include ability to identify and remove barriers.
Effective communication skills, to include listening skills
