Job purpose
The Supervisor – Assembly will supervise the single door line, by planning, assigning, and monitoring the work of assigned staff; filling in for absentees as needed. This position is responsible manufacturing equipment, managing personnel, while ensuring that the plant produces a quality product on time. This supervisor will ensure that all employees follow the prescribed safety guidelines.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provides direction and leads by example.
- Organizes workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
- Overseeing and coaching employees; including disciplinary action.
- Ensure safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
- Cross train current employees to ensure workflow expectations are met.
- Ensure the final product created by your team is made in accordance with the highest level of safety and efficiency to meet standards of quality.
- Responsible for various daily production reports.
- Oversees, monitors, and maintains all aspects of direct reports time sheets and approval of PTO / UPTO requests.
- Enforce safety guidelines and company standards.
- Provides employees with tools and opportunities to achieve production goals.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all employees.
- Participates in the interview process for potential employees.
- Conduct semi-annual and annual reviews for direct reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to use and read measuring devices

Physical requirements
- Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis during each shift.
- Lift up to 45 lbs. at waist level and up to 15 lbs. at shoulder level on an occasional basis when moving products.
- Push or pull with up to 45 lbs. of force on an occasional basis when moving products.
- Generate up to 25 lbs. of grip strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products.
- Generate up to 15 lbs. of pinch strength on an occasional basis with each hand while handling products.
- Display good eye-hand coordination using both hands on a continuous basis while performing job tasks.
- This job requires the use of close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products.
- Stoop, kneel, or squat on an occasional basis when handling products.
- Reach forward and to the side on a frequent basis when handling products.
- Able to stand and perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours per day.
