Field Supervisor Exempt
Purpose of Job:
The Field Supervisor will travel to jobsites to supervise and oversee Moffitt installation projects. The Field Supervisor will attend contractor meetings, fill out weekly progress reports, and be a liaison between the field crew and home office personnel. Assisting Field Technicians with vent inspections, site inspections, warranty work, and troubleshooting issues, as needed, will be required.
The Field Supervisor reports to Construction Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Subcontractors: Lead, direct, and manage subcontractors on-site, ensuring they perform their work according to specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure project schedules and milestones are met. Monitor and adjust daily activities as necessary to ensure project timelines stay on track.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality. Inspect work regularly to confirm that construction activities align with plans and specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in safety meetings. Address any safety concerns immediately.
- Progress Reporting: Maintain daily and weekly reports on work progress, delays, and issues that may impact the project timeline. Provide updates to the Project Team regularly.
- Problem Resolution: Address any challenges, conflicts, or delays that arise on-site. Take proactive measures to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Material & Equipment Management: Ensure that materials and equipment are available when needed and are properly managed on-site to avoid delays.
- Documentation: Ensure all required documentation, including change orders, safety reports, and inspection records, are properly completed and filed.
- Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive work environment. Lead by example, providing mentorship and guidance to subcontractors and laborers.
Skill/Job Requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Project, Teams
- Prior field experience in an industrial environment preferred.
- Self-Starter. Ability to work independently, as well as in a group/team setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Extensive travel to worksite locations across the US required. Estimated 100% travel nationwide.
- Be physically fit – job will require sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting up to 50lbs, and other physical activity as required for the task at hand.
