Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions across designated routes, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- No touch Freight
- Drive intermodal containers, including refrigerated trailers to various destinations while adhering to schedule requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load integrity.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.
Skills
- Proven 12 months verifiable experience operating commercial tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with handling refrigerated trailers, chassis and intermodal containers.
- Strong driving skills with a focus on route planning and adherence to schedules.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures for various cargo types including hazardous materials when applicable.
- Excellent safety awareness and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
