Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable RN or LVN to provide one-on-one private duty nursing care for a low acuity pediatric patient with Spina Bifida catheterization and skilled nursing support in the home setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in pediatric care, skilled nursing assessments, and providing family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care according to the physician's orders and plan of care.
- Perform intermittent catheterization and monitor urinary health.
- Assess, monitor, and document the patient's condition and response to care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor for signs of infection, skin breakdown, or changes in condition.
- Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, physicians, and the healthcare team.
- Implement infection control and safety measures.
- Provide education and support to family members regarding the patient's care needs.
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN or LVN license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience with pediatric patients preferred.
- Experience with catheterization and Spina Bifida care required.
- Strong assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a home-care environment.
- Reliable transportation and professionalism in providing family-centered care.
