While working under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor, the Driver will operate a car, truck or van with a capacity of under 26,000 GVW, primarily to deliver or pick up product with a specified area. Load or unload their vehicle utilizing a cart, pallet jack or forklift.
Schedule/Training: This position works Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, with training completed on the same schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver mail to post office- verify correct paperwork is on each job.

Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.

Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.

Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.

Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles using cart, pallet jack or forklift.

Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
-
Turn in signed receipts from deliveries.
-
Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of deliveries or pickups.
-
Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
-
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.

Operate pallet wrapper to prepare skids for shipment. May also use banding machine to band skids for shipment.

Follow and comply with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Work in shipping, receiving or warehousing as necessary.

When picking up product from other vendors, all counts must be verified. When product is brought to the Marek facility, the driver will unload the product and inform the Shipping/Receiving Manager that product is here. Paperwork will be given to the Receiving Production Assistant to receive product.

Follow and comply with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Requires a high school diploma and/or
-
One year of delivery experience; or
-
A combination of education and experience.

Forklift certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading trucks/vans using pallet jacks or by hand, depending on the delivery location
