WK Work Kare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team in Shreveport-Bossier. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care while effectively managing diverse medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employment physicals – Ensuring employees are fit for duty
- Drug and alcohol screening – Helping maintain a safe, productive workplace
- Certified DOT exams – Meeting federal requirements for commercial drivers
- Work conditioning – Preparing employees to safely return to work after injury
- Vaccinations – Protecting employees against preventable illness
- Case management – Coordinating care for efficient, cost-effective outcomes
- Employee assistance programs – Supporting mental health and workplace well-being
- Wellness programs – Promoting long-term health and productivity
- Work injury treatment – Including after hours and weekend coverage through Willis Knighton Quick Care
- Works in conjunction with the medical director, administrative management, nursing and other interprofessional team members to facilitate patient care and management throughout the health care system.
- With on-site lab testing, X-rays and seamless access to Willis Knighton’s advanced care network
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
- Experience: At least one year
- Licensure: License or license eligible as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner) as set forth by the state of Louisiana. Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of WKH and appropriate certifying bodies. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Current PALS/NRP, as required, specific to position. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as required, specific to position.
