Responsibilities:
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, and trim
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client specifications
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete projects
- Collaborate with other carpenters and construction professionals on larger projects
Skills:
- Proficiency in various carpentry techniques including roof construction, drywall installation, masonry work, remodeling projects, and flooring installation
- Ability to read blueprints and follow building plans
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their uses in construction
- Experience with heavy lifting and working with large pieces of material
- Skill in fabricating and assembling wooden structures using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with caulking techniques for sealing joints and gaps
- Understanding of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery for precision cutting and shaping of materials
- Attention to detail for accurate measurements and precise cuts
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
NYS Valid Drivers licence and Reliable Vehicle are a must.
Note: Experience with restoring old or historic structures is a plus.
This position requires a high level of skill in carpentry techniques. Candidates should have experience in various aspects of carpentry such as roof construction, drywall installation, masonry work, remodeling projects, flooring installation, etc. The ability to lift heavy objects is also necessary for this role. Additionally, proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is required. Candidates should have good attention to detail for accurate measurements and precise cuts. Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
