LMRT / NCT – Radiology & Clinical Operations Specialist

Position Summary
Orthopedic Institute of North Texas (OINT) is seeking an experienced LMRT (Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist) or NCT (Non-Certified Technician) with a strong background in orthopedic radiology, X-ray quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and medical supply management.
This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring the integrity of our radiology program across multiple clinic locations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Texas radiology regulations, maintain all required compliance documentation, oversee imaging quality assurance, coordinate supply management, and provide operational oversight for radiology staff.

Essential Responsibilities Radiology Operations
- Perform diagnostic X-rays within the scope of Texas LMRT or NCT certification and physician orders.
- Ensure high-quality imaging while following established radiation safety standards.
- Maintain imaging equipment readiness and identify operational concerns promptly.
- Assist with implementation of imaging best practices across all clinic locations.
Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
- Perform and document required Quality Assurance (QA) testing on digital X-ray equipment.
- Maintain all state-required X-ray compliance binders and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) radiology regulations.
- Coordinate annual inspections, registrations, physicist evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain radiation safety records and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Monitor imaging documentation and maintain audit-ready compliance records at all times.
Supply & Inventory Management
- Manage inventory for radiology, clinical, DME, and office supplies across multiple clinic locations.
- Order supplies through approved vendors while maintaining budget-conscious purchasing practices.
- Monitor inventory levels, expiration dates, and equipment needs.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and vendor service requests.
- Maintain organized storage areas and standardized inventory practices.
Clinical Operations Support
- Assist with scheduling, coordination, and oversight of LMRT/NCT staff.
- Travel between clinic locations to ensure consistency in radiology operations and compliance.
- Conduct routine operational audits of radiology areas.
- Develop and maintain standardized workflows and operating procedures.
- Assist leadership with operational improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for radiology processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Texas LMRT certification or NCT certification.
- Minimum three (3) years of orthopedic imaging experience.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and imaging protocols.
- Experience performing Quality Assurance testing on digital X-ray systems.
- Thorough understanding of Texas DSHS radiology regulations.
- Experience maintaining state-required X-ray compliance binders and documentation.
- Experience managing medical supply inventory and vendor ordering.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel between clinic locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Multi-site orthopedic practice experience.
- Experience training or mentoring radiology staff.
- Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and workplace safety regulations.
- Experience with AdvancedMD or comparable electronic medical record systems.
- Experience with inventory management software.
- Microsoft Excel and reporting experience.
