We’re looking for a part-time Home Staging Stylist, someone who has a great eye for design, color, and composition, and enjoys the hands-on process of styling homes from start to finish. This is not an interior designer role. It is perfect for someone who works well with existing inventory, manages all the details of an install, and collaborates with our team to bring each staging to life. We believe the best results come from teamwork, communication, and everyone working together toward a shared vision.
This position requires comfort working from our San Leandro warehouse to select inventory, prepare projects, and collaborate with the staging team.
What You Will Do
- Design and style homes based on their architectural style and target buyer profile
- Select furniture, rugs, art, and accessories from our warehouse inventory
- Source additional items online and compile a shopping list for approval when inventory is limited
- Create detailed staging plans, layouts, and styling notes with reference photos to ensure the install team can execute each project accurately
- Work closely with the staging and warehouse teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Ensure every detail is accounted for, including built-in shelves, accent pieces, and styling touches
- Participate in property walk-throughs and provide design direction for upcoming projects
- Occasionally provide paint consultation and light fixture
What We Are Looking For
- Background in visual merchandising, home styling, set design, or staging
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage many small pieces within a project
- Hands-on, organized, and comfortable working under tight timelines
- Strong sense of proportion, scale, and color
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using inventory management apps
- Comfortable working part-time hours with a flexible schedule based on project needs
- Available to work on-site for installations and property walk-throughs
- Comfortable working at our San Leandro warehouse as part of the design and preparation process
- Strong team player who enjoys collaborating with others and understands that every successful project is a team effort
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with warehouse, staging, and operations teams
Bonus Points For
- Experience in home staging or furniture rental industries
- Experience styling retail spaces or store displays such as West Elm, Pottery Barn, or Anthropologie
