Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Demolition Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will assist in safely and efficiently tearing down structures, preparing sites for new construction, and handling various demolition tasks. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail will contribute to the successful completion of projects across commercial, residential, and industrial sites. Duties
- Assist with the safe demolition of buildings, structures, and fixtures following project plans and safety protocols
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as sledgehammers, drills, saws, and jackhammers to dismantle materials
- Remove debris, hazardous materials, and recyclable components from job sites to maintain a clean work environment
- Support the installation of building materials including framing, drywall, windows, doors, and flooring as needed
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to understand project requirements and demolition scope
- Assist with heavy equipment operation under supervision for tasks like concrete breaking or material removal
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
Skills
- Construction site experience with a strong understanding of demolition processes and safety practices
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment operation
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Knowledge of building materials installation such as drywall, flooring, roofing, masonry, stucco, and trim carpentry
- Familiarity with construction management principles including estimating and inspection procedures
- Experience with specialized tasks like glass installation, cabinet installation, framing carpentry, door hanging, or concrete finishing is a plus
- Basic electrical or plumbing experience is advantageous for supporting various project needs
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor conditions for extended periods
