Are you a dynamic leader who knows how to command a room? Summer Springboard is seeking a Workshop Facilitator to lead high-impact, interactive sessions for motivated high school students for our program on the campus of University of Washington for our high school session this summer.
We are hiring for our Public Speaking workshop, looking for facilitators who are passionate about helping students become more confident, compelling, and authentic speakers. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with experience in public speaking, communication, debate, theater, coaching, education, youth development, or professional presentation skills.
The Curriculum (Zero Lesson Planning)
We respect your time. The curriculum, slide decks, and simulation materials are 100% prepared and provided. Your role is to bring the content to life through expert facilitation and real-time coaching. You are delivering the same session, four times as our students rotate through 4 total workshops.
Workshop Highlights
- Presentation Fundamentals: Help students develop confidence, organization, vocal delivery, body language, and audience engagement.
- Active Participation: Every student speaks, practices, and receives constructive feedback throughout the session.
- Interactive Speaking Challenges: Lead students through impromptu speaking exercises, persuasive presentations, storytelling activities, and group communication challenges.
- Confidence Building: Create a supportive environment where students learn to overcome nervousness, think on their feet, and communicate with clarity and authenticity.
Who You Are
- The Communicator: You have experience in public speaking, communications, debate, theater, training, coaching, education, or professional presentations.
- The Energy: You know how to keep 15–18-year-olds engaged for 90 minutes through interactive activities, movement, and discussion.
- The Coach: You provide encouraging, actionable feedback that helps students improve while building their confidence.
- The Professional: You are reliable, enthusiastic, and excited to represent Summer Springboard on a prestigious college campus.
Schedule & Requirements
- Availability: Must be available on-site at an assigned space on the campus of UW from 3:30PM - 5:00PM on July 28, July 30, August 3, and August 4. $250 per day, totaling $1,000.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in facilitation, public speaking, or student mentorship preferred.
- Clearance: Must be able to pass a standard background check for working with minors.
- You are delivering the same session, four times as our students rotate through 4 total workshops.
Pay: From $250.00 per day
