Position Summary
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Managed Care is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team in Dalhart, Texas. The LVN provides direct patient care and clinical support in a professional healthcare environment, assisting providers with examinations, treatments, and patient monitoring while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to infection control standards.
This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting clinical operations and maintaining a safe, efficient healthcare setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect and report patient data; identify and report changes in patient responses to assist in identifying problems and developing care goals and outcomes.
- Administer medications or assist with medication administration and ensure proper documentation according to established protocols.
- Assist with or perform clinical exams and procedures and accurately document all interventions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Prepare, maintain, and operate medical equipment and instruments required for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Monitor infection control practices and provide appropriate interventions to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Provide patient education and support as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
