Position Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating project planning, timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure alignment with engineering objectives and customer requirements. Acting as a bridge between engineering, operations, supply chain, and key stakeholders, the Project Management Engineer ensures projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
· Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resource requirements.
· Coordinate cross-functional communication between engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and operations teams.
· Maintain project documentation, timelines, and deliverables.Execution & Monitoring· Track project progress and performance using project management tools.
· Identify and resolve issues, risks, and bottlenecks that may impact delivery timelines.
· Support change management processes and ensure proper documentation of scope modifications.Technical & Stakeholder Support
· Provide engineering insights to support feasibility assessments and technical decision-making.
· Facilitate effective communication with internal teams and external partners/vendors.
· Prepare regular status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
Quality & Compliance
· Ensure project outcomes meet technical specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
· Support project review meetings, lessons learned sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Computer Science, or related technical field.
· 3+ years of experience in project coordination or engineering project management role (preferably in technology, hardware, or manufacturing).
· Solid understanding of project management principles and technical workflows.
· Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Asana, or Smartsheet.
· Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Skills
· Strong understanding of server, storage, or cloud infrastructure product development lifecycles
· Experience working in hardware manufacturing or data center environments· Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or similar platforms
· Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies
· Ability to analyze technical drawings, specifications, and engineering change orders (ECOs)
Work Environment:
· Manufacturing and office environment.
· Requires on-site support within factory areas as needed.
· Occasional extended hours or off-shift support required for critical incidents.
Physical Demands:
· Ability to walk and stand for extended periods within a factory environment.
· Ability to handle and install IT equipment such as desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
