Legal Prep Charter Academy seeks a Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026–2027 school year, beginning August 3, 2026, to provide services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. This role focuses on delivering speech and language services aligned to mandated minutes, supporting student access to instruction, and ensuring compliance with all required documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Student Services
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and 504 Plans
- Track and document service minutes to ensure compliance with student plans
- Support students’ communication development to improve access to academic content
IEP/504 Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate service logs and student progress data
- Complete required reports, progress monitoring, and documentation for IEPs and 504 Plans
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed, including providing updates on student progress
Collaboration & Consultation
- Consult with teachers, case managers, and staff to support implementation of accommodations and communication strategies
- Provide guidance on classroom supports for students with speech and language needs
- Communicate with families as needed regarding student progress and services
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois SLP license required
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement preferred
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP/504 processes and documentation
Schedule
- Part-time: 1 day per week (4 hours)
- OR 8 hours every other week
- Flexible based on student caseload and service minutes
Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour
