Spay Now Animal Surgical Center is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant to join our busy surgical practice. We are a high-volume surgery center dedicated to providing affordable veterinary care for pets and owners in need
Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, enjoys an exciting atmosphere, and a love for animals.
Responsibilities
- Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats
- Preparing patients for surgery
- Monitoring patients before and after procedures
- Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintaining a clean and organized hospital
- Communicating professionally with clients and team members
- Assisting with patient admissions and discharges as needed
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and restrain dogs and cats of varying sizes
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
