Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individual in home setting in exchange for free studio apartment. This person is a former UNCW English Department lecturer and Public Radio Commentator. In this role, you will assist client with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic, supportive environment focused on person-centered care. These duties would be in exchange for use of living in free private studio apartment with private bathroom and separate entrance, within close proximity to UNC-W. Nursing student Preferred!
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living Help such as:
- Help with preparation of some meals
- Walk small friendly Senior dog in am and pm
- Assistance with laundry when needed
- Take to Dr and hair appointments, when needed
- Provide companionship
- Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate attitude
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
