IdealAir Heating & Cooling is a 30+ year established HVAC contractor serving the Greater Green Bay and Northeast Wisconsin area. We are seeking a Lead HVAC Installer to oversee and execute high-quality HVAC installations while leading installation crews in the field.
This role is ideal for an experienced installer who takes pride in workmanship, can manage jobs efficiently, and wants a stable, long-term leadership position with a respected local company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HVAC installation crews on residential or commercial projects
- Install rooftop units, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and related HVAC systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation plans
- Coordinate jobsite workflow, materials, and manpower
- Ensure installs meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and code requirements
- Train and mentor junior installers and apprentices
- Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Communicate clearly with project managers, service teams, and customers
- Work safely from ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as required
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HVAC installation experience preferred
- Prior experience leading crews or acting as a lead installer
- Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Solid understanding of sheet metal practices and airflow fundamentals
- Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
- Universal EPA Certification
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must own standard hand tools
- (Application-specific tools and power tools are provided)
