Senior Construction Project Accountant
Location: South of Nashville, Tennessee (Onsite) Compensation: $110,000–$140,000 base salary, plus bonus potential and benefits Employment Type: Full-Time

Our client, a rapidly growing construction company based south of Nashville, TN, is seeking a Senior Construction Project Accountant to bring structure, consistency, and discipline to their project accounting processes. What You'll Do
- Design and implement standardized processes for consistent data input from project setup through execution and closeout
- Establish clear protocols across the full chain of project documentation, ensuring every stakeholder understands their role and responsibilities
- Partner with project managers, field teams, and finance leadership to align on data entry standards and reporting requirements
- Monitor project financials for accuracy and consistency, flagging discrepancies before they become problems
- Support the creation of documentation and training materials that reinforce new processes company-wide
- Help drive accountability throughout the project lifecycle by clarifying ownership at each stage of the documentation chain
- Contribute to broader process improvement initiatives as the company scales
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in Project Accounting, Project Controls, or a similar construction/project-based finance role
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle accounting, from setup through execution and closeout
- Excellent organizational skills and comfort building and documenting new processes
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across project managers, field staff, and finance teams
Preferred:
- Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (not required, but a strong plus)
- Experience in the construction industry specifically
