Job Summary
We are looking for a working Mechanic Manager to support our 2 plant locations. The Mechanic Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal reliability, performance, and longevity of company equipment and facilities. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership and management responsibilities, ensuring maintenance operations align with safety, quality, and production objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Mechanic Manager
· Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance team, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
· Ensure and continuously improve the reliability, performance, and longevity of equipment and machinery.
· Oversee and actively manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs across all operations.
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical issues; provide technical guidance to maintenance staff as needed.
· Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation of machinery and equipment, ensuring proper startup and commissioning.
· Read, interpret, and approve blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.
· Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in instrumentation, connectivity, and equipment performance.
· Lead and support automation initiatives to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Management teams to support production goals.
· Prepare reports, KPIs, and documentation related to maintenance performance, downtime, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements of the Mechanic Manager
· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Mechanics, or equivalent degree.
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
· Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience leading maintenance or technical teams.
· Strong experience with preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
· Demonstrated experience with assembly, disassembly, and handling of heavy industrial equipment.
· Proven ability to lead teams, set priorities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
· Ability to maintain effective internal and external working relationships, including contractors and vendors.
