Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Perform order picking and packing tasks with precision to ensure timely order fulfillment for shipping & receiving operations
- Stock shelves and organize warehouse storage areas to optimize space utilization and accessibility
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and inspecting incoming goods for quality and accuracy
- Conduct regular inventory audits and participate in cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records
- Follow OSHA safety standards and mechanical guidelines to operate equipment responsibly and prevent accidents
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on equipment when needed
- Excellent materials handling skills including heavy lifting, stocking, packaging, and order picking & packing
- Prior warehouse experience with a focus on shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and load & unload procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced manufacturing or construction environments while maintaining attention to detail
