About the Role
As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a vital role in both clinical treatment and case management for individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, homelessness, trauma, and justice involvement. Working within a Department of Mental Health (DMH)-contracted program, you will:
Clinical Responsibilities:
✔ Conduct biopsychosocial assessments using DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
✔ Provide individual and group psychotherapy
✔ Deliver rehabilitation services and crisis intervention
✔ Develop and implement treatment plans based on level-of-care assessments
Case Management & Community Support:
✔ Provide housing navigation and resource linkage
✔ Coordinate care management services to ensure continuity of care
✔ Support clients in accessing medical, psychiatric, and social services
✔ Advocate for clients by collaborating with community partners
Administrative & Documentation Duties:
✔ Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
✔ Track client progress and outcomes
✔ Utilize assessment tools to determine individual needs and level of care
Minimum Qualifications
✔ Master’s degree in a mental health-related field (required)
✔ BBS registration or eligibility for registration upon hire (AMFT, ASW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC required)
✔ 3+ years’ experience in mental health/social services
✔ 1+ year direct client care experience
✔ Strong clinical assessment, intervention, and crisis management skills
✔ Knowledge of community resources and case management best practices
✔ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✔ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
✔ Valid CA driver’s license and a clean driving record
