Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Insurance Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new client relationships, providing tailored insurance solutions, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Conduct outside sales efforts to identify and acquire new business clients for insurance products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Provide comprehensive insurance consultations, including analysis of client needs and recommending appropriate coverage options.
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Manage sales administration tasks such as documentation, policy processing, and follow-up communications.
- Utilize marketing strategies to promote insurance services across various channels, including telemarketing when appropriate.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams on benefits administration and benefits planning for clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and product updates to provide accurate information and advice.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or insurance sales is required.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Analysis skills for assessing client needs and tailoring insurance solutions accordingly.
- Familiarity with sales administration processes and marketing techniques.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse populations effectively.
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is a plus for handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Experience in telemarketing or outreach campaigns is advantageous but not required.
