Job description:
Retina Centers of Alabama is looking for an experienced ophthalmic technician to join our growing team. Ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience working in an ophthalmology office – COA/COT a plus!
As an ophthalmic technician in our practice you'll be required to:

Be highly motivated and willing to grow with the practice in a long-term position

Demonstrate a working knowledge of ocular anatomy, ocular conditions, and ocular medications

Be experienced in general work-up of patient (record, review, and verify complete patient medical/ocular history, chief complaint, visual acuities, lensometry, EOMs, pupil assessment, manifest refraction, basic slit lamp exam, tonometry, instilling ocular medications)

Be proficient on computer and have experience with EHR programs

Have accurate and efficient typing skills

Be able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
