Job Summary
Energetic and professional with experience in busy hair salon environments. Combines exceptional guest-service skills and flawless appointment management with optional cosmetology expertise to provide on-the-spot consultations, support stylists, and take occasional chair time when needed. Skilled in POS transactions, client record keeping, and multi-line phone/online booking systems.
Required Schedule
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Saturdays: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the salon
- POS/retail sales experience: process payments, handle returns, reconcile cash/credit.
- Excellent phone/email etiquette; manage multi-line phones and online booking platforms
- Greet clients, check them in, and notify stylists.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the hair salon
- Confirm next appointments and send reminders
- Make inventory and check inventory
- Schedule regular maintenance of equipment and ensure peak operating conditions
- Adhere to the highest standards in beauty treatments and health and safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, or relevant field is preferred
- Previous experience as a salon front desk or similar position
- Extensive knowledge of salon treatments and products
- Excellent communication skills and ability to respond to customers’ requests gracefully
- Certification in cosmetology is preferred but not required. Able to offer style/color/consultations and gradually take on clients, increasing service revenue
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
