Hillcrest Orchards is a seasonal 5th generation farm in Henrietta, Ohio that has been providing fun, Fall family entertainment for years. Many people travel an hour or more to return to our orchard every autumn and create lasting memories with us. Job Summary
Hillcrest Orchards Farm Market Supervisor shares responsibility for store operations with the Farm Market Manager. This role is responsible for helping to lead a team of employees in delighting guests with exceptional customer service and an eye catching retail store. Duties include: covering shifts when employees call off, handling customer and employee grievances, ensuring efficient and positive guest experience, managing store inventory, and maintaining a clean, stocked store environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with leading employees in providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Guide employees in merchandise presentation and replenishment
- Provide assistance on cash register and service processes
- Facilitate the employee experience and support employee development
- Delegate and verify completion of daily tasks.
- Resolve guest and employee complaints and grievances
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a retail setting is preferred
- Both Saturday and Sunday availability required
- 17-33 hours per week based on desired number of work days
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to adapt to unforeseen issues, weather, and changes
- Ability to move and think quickly during busy periods
- Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and providing customer service
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk frequently, and lift moderately heavy (5-10 lb) items on occasion.
Additional Benefits
- Work outside or in open air building
- Can work as little as 17 hours per week (weekends) or up to 33 if desired
- Option to return for subsequent Fall seasons depending on performance
