Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain floors in pristine condition
- Handle chemical agents safely following established safety protocols and handling procedures
- Conduct sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards across all facilities
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using proper manual handling techniques to move furniture or cleaning supplies safely
- Maintain cleanliness of cleaning equipment, perform routine maintenance, and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or general upkeep as needed
- Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning operations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial background preferred
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
- Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbing machines
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance best practices
- Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to detail for thorough cleaning tasks
- Customer service orientation with professional communication skills
- Experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is advantageous
- Ability to follow safety protocols consistently and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
