Part-Time In-Person Math Instructor – K–8
Eye Level Learning Center is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Part-Time Math Instructor to work with students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.
This is an in-person, year-round position ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is confident in elementary and middle school math. Instructors work with students individually and in small groups using the Eye Level curriculum.
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm
All curriculum, lesson materials, and teaching resources are provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide math instruction and academic support to students in grades K–8.
- Work with students individually and in small groups.
- Guide students through the Eye Level curriculum and help them understand challenging concepts.
- Grade student work and provide corrections and feedback.
- Motivate and encourage students to build confidence and independence.
- Monitor student progress and communicate concerns or progress with the Center Director.
- Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment.
- Assist with other classroom or center responsibilities as needed.
- New instructors may begin with grading student booklets to become familiar with the Eye Level curriculum and teaching methods.
Qualifications
We welcome applicants from a variety of educational backgrounds, including:
- College students, particularly those interested in pursuing a career in education or teaching.
- Applicants who have completed at least 20 college credit hours.
- Current or former teachers.
- Recently retired ISD teachers are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with Montessori teaching experience or certification are welcome to apply.
- Tutoring, teaching, or experience working with children is preferred.
