Quasar Gems is looking for an organized, reliable, and outgoing Wholesale Sales & Customer Service Associate to join our team in Jackson, Wisconsin.
This position focuses on helping wholesale customers place and complete orders, creating invoices, processing payments, answering questions, and assisting customers with selecting crystals, gemstones, minerals, jewelry, and related merchandise.
The role includes a mix of in-person sales, phone and email communication, order support, and occasional order picking. It is a good fit for someone who is patient, detail-oriented, comfortable working with customers, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
This position may be either full-time or part-time.
Pay and Schedule
- Starting pay: $19 per hour
- Full-time or part-time availability
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday
- Weekends are generally off, although occasional weekend availability may be helpful
- Position is based at our warehouse in Jackson, Wisconsin
- Applicants must have reliable transportation to and from the warehouse
Responsibilities
- Assist wholesale customers with selecting crystals, gemstones, minerals, jewelry, and other merchandise
- Provide friendly and professional service to customers in person, by phone, and through email
- Create accurate customer invoices using Zoho
- Process customer payments, primarily through a card terminal
- Check customers out and confirm that all products, quantities, and prices are correct
- Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and orders
- Follow up with existing customers and sales leads by phone or email
- Occasionally follow up regarding unpaid invoices, incomplete orders, or abandoned orders
- Pick and prepare smaller customer orders when needed
- Help locate products throughout the warehouse
- Maintain organized customer and order information
- Communicate with warehouse staff to make sure orders are completed accurately
- Assist with general sales and warehouse tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous sales, wholesale, retail, or customer service experience is preferred
- Knowledge of crystals, gemstones, minerals, or jewelry is preferred but not required
- Training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Patient and professional when working with customers
- Outgoing and comfortable starting conversations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule
- Comfortable communicating by phone and email
- Comfortable learning and using Zoho, a card terminal, and basic computer systems
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to lift up to approximately 30 pounds
- Willing to ask for assistance when an item is too heavy or difficult to move safely
- Reliable transportation to the Jackson warehouse is required
Trade Show Travel Opportunities
Quasar Gems travels to trade shows across the United States throughout the year.
Travel is not required for this position, but applicants who are willing and able to travel may receive preference during the hiring process.
Employees who attend trade shows may assist with:
- Helping wholesale customers select merchandise
- Creating invoices and processing payments
- Organizing and restocking displays
- Locating products for customers
- Helping with setup, packing, and general show operations
Employees attending approved trade shows will receive their regular hourly wages as well as a bonus. Company-provided transportation and lodging will also be supplied during the trip.

A candidate may not be a good fit if they cannot maintain a consistent schedule, frequently miss work, or have difficulty following through on customer and order-related tasks.
