What We’re Looking For:

Compassionate and team-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility

Effective communicator who works well under the supervision of a registered nurse

Previous experience in a hospital or patient care setting preferred

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, Basic EMT Certification, Military Medic experience, or completion of fundamental nursing clinical in RN program preferred

Working knowledge of current burn nursing techniques and procedures is a plus

What You Will Do:Work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to deliver compassionate, hands-on care that enhances the quality of life for burn patients and their families. Participate in essential clinical duties while ensuring a safe, supportive environment.

Assist with personal care including bathing, feeding, hygiene, ambulating, and comfort measures

Support technical procedures aligned with the patient’s care plan

Report condition changes promptly to nursing staff

Collect and transport specimens, monitor vital signs, and document intake/output

Support patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
-
Prepare for and assist during burn wound care and surgical procedures
-
Handle burn-specific tasks such as debridements, splinting, and dressing changes
-
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of hydrotherapy and assessment rooms

Perform clerical/unit clerk duties: answering calls, greeting visitors, and managing supplies

Uphold safety, environmental, and infection control protocols at all times

Participate in emergency response situations and equipment sanitation as required
