Job Title: Parent Mentor (Part-Time)
Reports To: Program Director
Location: Mercer County, NJ
Position Summary:
The Parent Mentor provides strength-based mentoring to parents and caregivers to strengthen parenting skills, improve family relationships, and connect families with community resources. Services are provided in home and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one parent mentoring.
- Support positive parenting, communication, and problem-solving.
- Connect families with community resources and services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with care managers and service providers.
- Attend required supervision and training.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a human services field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Requirements
- Successful completion of all required background checks.
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
