Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills under general supervision
- Set up machines from engineering drawings and CNC programs
- Adjust offsets, tooling, feeds/speeds, and cycle times for optimal performance
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues
- Perform in-process and first article inspections
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and optical comparators
- Verify parts meet quality and specification requirements
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of CNC mill experience in a production or job-shop environment.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal instruction.
- Proficiency in drawings/blueprint reading and standard shop documentation.
- Perform in-process inspection and quality verification.
- Proficiency with measuring gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking
- Work well under pressure
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Must be reliable and responsible
- Keep work area clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant.
