Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for commercial cabinetry projects, managing project budgets, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project teams. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and successful project execution from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and material requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates using estimating software and Excel spreadsheets to include labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze bid documents, contracts, and project plans to develop accurate pricing strategies.
- Collaborate vendors through negotiation to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously by tracking budgets, updating estimates, and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and suppliers to clarify scope changes or adjustments in pricing as needed.
Skills
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent negotiation skills for securing competitive pricing and managing contracts.
- Experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction industry standards including cost control, material estimating, and blueprint review.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel spreadsheets) for data analysis and reporting.
- Effective client communication skills to present estimates clearly and negotiate terms confidently.
- Understanding millwork terminology and products.
- Knowledge of European & face frame cabinet construction.

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
