Class A CDL Full-Time Position, Local Delivery Service

Position Purpose:
The purpose of the Professional Driver’s role in On Time Delivery Service, Inc is to facilitate the safe and secure transportation of freight of all kinds to and from businesses encompassing On Time Delivery Service, Inc’s clientele. Picking up, loading, securing, unloading, and completing delivery of clients products in a safe efficient, and time-sensitive manner while exceeding customer expectation.
Primary Essential Functions:
Employment includes; but is not limited to, the following functions.
· Performing a pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicle, including but not limited to: oil, fuel, brake systems, tires, and tire wear, truck air reservoir tanks, hoses and fittings, and interior equipment, prior to each shift.
· Maintaining vehicles
· Reporting of change in vehicle conditions.
· Providing top-quality service to clients.
· Receive daily pick-up and delivery instructions from dispatch & adhering to delivery schedules as set by dispatch.
· Securing product on-board vehicle, proper load weight distribution, pallet jack handling, and lift gate handling.
· Load count & conditions evaluations
· Daily completion of all required paper and electronic work, including but not limited to: Bills of Lading, pick-up and delivery time stamping, POD signatures, logbooks, vehicle inspection reports (DOT required), time cards, and Driver Inspection Report.
